Interpretation guide

Lowest observed invited points is an observation—not a cutoff.

The label is intentionally precise because a monthly SkillSelect dashboard value does not automatically describe an official invitation-round threshold.

What the value means

It is the lowest points score observed among EOIs in INVITED status for the selected profession, pathway, state scope and monthly snapshot.

What it does not mean

  • It is not an official invitation-round cutoff.
  • It is not the minimum score required for an invitation.
  • It is not a forecast or guarantee.
  • It does not reveal how many people are “ahead” of an EOI.

Why a month can be blank

If no invited-points observation is present, the chart shows a gap and the table shows a dash. The product does not carry forward a previous month’s value and does not convert missing to zero.

How to use it

Use the series as descriptive history: where invited-status scores were observed, how dispersed the observed range was, and how frequently an invited observation appeared. Interpret it together with source coverage and state scope.
